Ellacor® with Micro-Coring™ Technology is the first and the only device of its kind. It removes skin on the microscale to improve the appearance of wrinkles and renew your inner youth.

What is Ellacor®?

Ellacor® is one of the first devices to deliver smoother, tighter, younger-looking skin without surgery and without scarring. This minimally invasive treatment uses Micro-Coring™, a fractional tissue extraction process, to treat age-related skin laxity in the mid-to-lower face, neck, and other body parts.

The device removes between six thousand and twelve thousand tiny “microcores” of excess skin with fine, hollow needles. As much as eight percent of the skin’s volume is removed during each session, so it is noticeably smoother and tighter as it heals.

After the treatment, the body’s natural healing response encourages the skin to realign and close the microcores quickly.

Benefits of Ellacor®

One of the benefits of Ellacor® is that it is FDA-approved for facial sites that are notoriously difficult to treat for aging. These treatment sites include the following:

  • Cheeks
  • Around the mouth
  • Under the chin

Ellacor® removes micro-portions of excess skin, while other skin revitalization devices induce intentional thermal injury to the skin. Ellacor® can be used on all skin types and on patients with heat-sensitive skin conditions like melasma.

Some of the other impressive benefits of Ellacor® include the following:

  • No incisions or scarring
  • Removes excess, sagging skin
  • Reduces the appearance of wrinkles
  • Diminishes the appearance of “marionette lines” and jowls
  • Immediate visible improvement that progresses
  • In-office, thirty-to-sixty-minute treatment with no need for general anesthesia

Am I a good candidate for Ellacor®?

Ellacor® is an excellent option for people who:

  • Are over the age of 22
  • Want improvement in skin laxity and visible signs of facial aging
  • Do not have medical conditions that inhibit proper wound healing
  • Are not pregnant

Ellacor® Procedure and Results

Treatments start by injecting local anesthesia into the treatment area or applying a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort. Once you are numb, we move the device across the treatment area to create the micro-cores in a grid-like pattern. When a core is made, the device’s vacuum system provides suction that removes the skin from the needles. Like fractional laser treatment, Ellacor® leaves bridges of normal skin between the micro-cores, allowing skin contraction and creating a lifting effect. The remaining skin also helps the micro-cores heal more quickly, so no stitches or bandages are required.

What is Ellacor® recovery like?

In the pivotal clinical trial, 70% of ellacor® patients were comfortable going out in public or returning to work three days after treatment.

While Ellacor® requires no downtime and minimal recovery, refrain from the following until your skin has fully healed:

  • Shaving
  • Waxing
  • Makeup
  • Using skincare products
  • Using tanning beds or sunless tanning creams
  • Scrubbing, scratching, or picking at the treated area(s)
  • Contact sports
  • Any activity that could cause injury to the treated site
  • Submerging the treated area
  • Activities that result in overheating, such as extended exposure to hot baths or spas
  • Excessive exerciseSleeping on your face
