Sculpting the Nose with Injectables

While some patients who dislike the appearance of their nose will require a surgical rhinoplasty (nose job), others can achieve their cosmetic goals with simple dermal fillers. If you’re bothered by only small aesthetic imperfections, a “liquid rhinoplasty” is a great solution.

Advantages of Liquid Rhinoplasty

  • Completely non-invasive
  • Treatments are fast and convenient
  • Very little discomfort
  • Minimal downtime and side effects
  • Immediate results

How Does Liquid Rhinoplasty Work?

Liquid rhinoplasty uses dermal fillers to temporarily make cosmetic changes to the nose such as a nasal hump, imperfections of the nasal tip, and problems with the bridge. The filler is administered via a series of injections that are meticulously placed.

What Liquid Rhinoplasty Can Do

  • Camouflage a hump on the nasal bridge
  • Make a crooked nose appear symmetrical
  • Correct the appearance of a pinched/drooping nasal tip
  • Add volume to a low nasal bridge
  • Improve overall appearance

Treatment, Downtime, and Results

For liquid rhinoplasty, only a topical numbing anesthetic is needed. It’s a quick in-office treatment (approximately 30 minutes) that is done using injections. While you may feel a little pressure during the injections, pain is minimal. The majority of patients return to their regular day following a liquid rhinoplasty, with only very mild side effects (which include swelling and bruising). Every dermal filler is different, so the results will last different amounts of time. The average longevity of results is 6-8 months, but during your consultation with Dr. Grossman, she will let you know how long you can expect your results to last. Maintenance treatments can be performed as needed.

Candidates for Liquid Rhinoplasty

  • Are unhappy with smaller imperfections of their nose
  • Are looking for a non-surgical nose procedure
  • Are aware that liquid rhinoplasty is temporary
  • Are aware that liquid rhinoplasty does not address functionality
  • Are aware that liquid rhinoplasty does not actually make the nose smaller
