Full, sculpted, sensual lips aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. They are a classic hallmark of beauty and appeal, and when done correctly, they can enhance the overall look of your entire face.
Elevate Your Beauty with Fuller, Softer Lips
Whether your aesthetic concern with your lips involves them being too thin, too small, or not contoured enough, Dr. Grossman can help. She uses dermal fillers and lipotransfer to plump, soften, and define the lips in the most natural-looking way possible.
While Dr. Grossman is most well-known for natural-looking lips, she is also adept at creating fuller, more luscious lips for patients who want them. She often combines a variety of different techniques to create the best lip for you, combining serial puncture, linear threading, and even picket fencing at times to create more balance in otherwise asymmetric smiles.
Dr. Grossman’s Natural Touch for Lips
There’s a reason why Dr. Grossman’s celebrity patients and everyday patients alike love her: she keeps you looking natural, yet beautiful. Her long-established, high-end boutique cosmetic dermatology practice is well-known for producing incredible results, and Dr. Grossman has earned a loyal family of lifetime patients because of her dedicated attention, thoroughness, and genuinely beautiful results. Her light touch with injectables is a greatly appreciate attribute among many.
Treatment and Downtime: What to Expect
To keep bruising as minimal as possible, we recommend that you stop taking blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, St. John’s wort, vitamin E, etc.) two weeks before your appointment. Alcohol consumption should be avoided for a few days before and after treatment as well.
Before your treatment, your lips and the surrounding area will be cleansed and numbed, as there is some discomfort involved. Dr. Grossman administers the lip filler using a very fine needle.
We recommend avoiding exercise or any activity that increases blood flow to the face for 24 hours. Once the swelling has subsided, your lips will feel normal—just plumper and softer.
Dermal Fillers We Use
Full, shapely lips are a timeless mark of youthfulness, beauty, and sensuality. Dr. Grossman’s lip hyaluronic acid-based lip fillers can take the size and structure of your lips to a whole new level in a way that you will love.
Juvéderm® Volbella was created especially to make smaller improvements to the lips in a way that is subtle and natural—and very customizable. Its soft formula allows for nuanced results to meet the specific aesthetic desires of each patient. In addition to achieving natural-looking results, Volbella is also great for treating lines around the mouth and on the lips, as well as refining and defining lip borders. Overall, Volbella adds finesse and freshens the lips.
Juvéderm Ultra XC
Juvéderm Ultra XC is also an excellent option for enhancing the lips, but because it’s made of a more robust formula than Volbella, it’s more ideal for adding volume and fullness to the lips (whereas Volbella aims for more minor, subtle changes). Juvéderm Ultra XC is well-known for its comfort and consistency, and like Volbella, it also addresses lines around the mouth.
Restylane® Refyne and Defyne are excellent dermal fillers for treating not only the lips, but also the laugh lines that surround the lips. These products provide plenty of volume when desired, but can be measured to meet the cosmetic goals of each patient. It also offers less swelling than many lip fillers, and uses XpresHAn Technology™ to provide extra-enhanced flexibility—making it perfect for smile lines of any severity.
Developed especially for the lips, Restylane® Kysse provides a little volume, smooths lines around the lips, and even enhances lip color. Kysse was also designed with XpresHAn Technology™ to deliver very flexible movement and natural-looking volume.
The RHA® Filler Collection offers highly customizable fillers for the entire face, and its RHA 2 is excellent for filling the lips and smoothing mild lines around the mouth. RHA products are hyaluronic acid-based, with a specialized formulation that protects and preserves the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid.
Fat transfer offers very natural-looking and feeling volume for the lips, as well as longer-lasting results than most fillers. Fat transfer also means no risk of an allergic reaction, as the filler comes from your very own fat.
